Espro Coffee Bar, located in The Beaches neighborhood of Toronto, is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Barista to join our team. We are the ONLY French Press focused specialty coffee house in Toronto. What We're Looking For
We're looking for part-time or full-time experienced baristas who genuinely enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, take pride in crafting great coffee, and want to be part of a growing specialty coffee brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guests with exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable service.
- Prepare espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty drinks to Espro standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment at all times.
- Open and/or close the café following established procedures.
- Restock coffee, milk, syrups, merchandise, retail products, and café supplies as needed.
- Operate the Square POS system to process cashless customer transactions accurately.
- Promote and sell Espro coffee, brewing equipment, drinkware, and branded merchandise.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and brewing guidance.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Perform other café duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previous barista experience in a specialty coffee shop or café environment.
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and beverage quality standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive, outgoing, and professional attitude.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
