About the Company
GMG Combi Oven Services Ltd. is a growing, family-owned commercial kitchen equipment service company.
We are an Authorized Service Partner of RATIONAL and specialize in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of professional commercial kitchen equipment.
Our technicians service a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including RATIONAL combi ovens, commercial coffee machines, panini grill, dishwashers, and other food service equipment.
We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team.
Job Summary
The Service Technician will travel to customer business locations to install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
This position is ideal for an experienced technician or a mechanically inclined individual who is interested in learning a specialized trade.
Paid training is provided. A trade license is not required for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Install, startup, and commission commercial kitchen equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
- Service RATIONAL combi ovens and other commercial cooking equipment.
- Service commercial coffee machines, grills, dishwashers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Travel to customer locations using a company-provided service vehicle.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Work overtime when required.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company safety procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
- Complete work with a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable using hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of using a multimeter.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Professional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call/emergency service.

Previous commercial kitchen equipment experience or a trade license is not required. We are willing to train a motivated candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to learning.

Our technicians work with equipment involving electricity, gas, water, heat, steam, and mechanical components. The successful candidate must be able to follow safe work procedures and remain focused when diagnosing and repairing equipment.
You will also be representing GMG Combi Oven Services Ltd. directly at customer locations, so respectful communication, professional conduct, and quality workmanship are essential.
