Overview
We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our construction and heavy equipment team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of machinery, including loaders, excavators, dozers, and graders. This role is essential for ensuring efficient material handling and site preparation, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. Candidates with mechanical knowledge and a background in heavy equipment operation are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing Caterpillar equipment and advanced construction techniques.
Duties
- Operate loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper placement for construction activities
- Assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and other construction tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes in a construction setting
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment operation
- Experience with commercial driving is beneficial for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment use in construction environments
This role requires candidates to be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in dynamic construction sites. All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in operating heavy machinery and possess relevant experience to ensure project success.
Pay: $35.00 per hour
