Darvish Restaurant is looking for a Kitchen Helper / Cook to join our team. We are a Persian restaurant located in downtown Toronto and are looking for someone who is organized, clean, punctual, and comfortable working in a busy kitchen.
Main Duties
- Cooking and assisting with food preparation
- Preparing ingredients and completing meal prep before service
- Keeping the kitchen, workstations, and equipment clean and organized
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with restaurant opening duties, including preparing the kitchen for service
- Completing closing duties, including cleaning, organizing, storing food properly, and preparing the kitchen for the next day
- Following food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner periods
Requirements
- Fluency in Farsi is required
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-preparation, or dishwashing experience is preferred
- Experience cooking Persian, Middle Eastern, or Mediterranean food is an asset, but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform cleaning and lifting duties as needed
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset
رستوران درویش در مرکز شهر تورنتو به دنبال یک کمک آشپز / آشپز مسئولیتپذیر، منظم و سختکوش برای پیوستن به تیم آشپزخانه خود است.
وظایف اصلی
- آشپزی و کمک در آمادهسازی غذا
- آماده کردن مواد اولیه و انجام آمادهسازی غذا پیش از شروع سرویس
- تمیز و مرتب نگه داشتن آشپزخانه، محل کار و تجهیزات
- شستن ظروف، قابلمهها، ماهیتابهها، وسایل آشپزخانه و تجهیزات
- کمک در وظایف شروع کار رستوران و آماده کردن آشپزخانه برای سرویس
- انجام وظایف پایان کار، از جمله تمیزکاری، مرتبسازی، نگهداری صحیح مواد غذایی و آماده کردن آشپزخانه برای روز بعد
- رعایت قوانین بهداشت مواد غذایی، نظافت و ایمنی محیط کار
- همکاری با تیم آشپزخانه در زمانهای شلوغ ناهار و شام
شرایط مورد نیاز
- توانایی مکالمه به زبان فارسی برای ارتباط مؤثر با تیم آشپزخانه و دریافت دستورهای کاری در زمان آمادهسازی و سرویس الزامی است
- داشتن تجربه قبلی در آشپزخانه، رستوران، آمادهسازی غذا یا ظرفشویی ترجیح داده میشود
- تجربه در پخت غذاهای ایرانی، خاورمیانهای یا مدیترانهای امتیاز محسوب میشود، اما الزامی نیست
- مسئولیتپذیر، وقتشناس و توانمند در کار تیمی باشید
- توانایی کار در محیط شلوغ و سریع آشپزخانه را داشته باشید
- توانایی ایستادن برای مدت طولانی و انجام کارهای نظافتی و جابهجایی وسایل در صورت نیاز
- امکان کار در عصرها، آخر هفتهها و تعطیلات ترجیح داده میشود
- داشتن گواهی Food Handler امتیاز محسوب میشود
