Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Convenience Store Supervisor to lead our retail team and ensure smooth store operations. Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing product displays, pricing items accurately, and ensuring stock availability
- Oversee purchasing and inventory replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, refunds, and reporting purposes
- Conduct staff recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training to develop a high-performing team
Skills
- Proven supervising or team management experience in retail or convenience store settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving a diverse customer base
- Expertise in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of budgeting, payroll processing, and administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on training & development and motivating staff
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions
- Customer service excellence combined with phone etiquette and professional demeanor
- Time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
