We are seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Landscaping Labourers. This position is ideal for those passionate about working outdoors and eager to develop their skills in the landscaping industry. Prior experience is valued but not required, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of lawn and garden irrigation systems
- Perform general lawn care tasks, including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, etc
- Assist with softscaping projects, including planting flowers, trees, and shrubs.
- Participate in stonework and hardscaping projects, including interlocking pathways, retaining walls, and outdoor kitchens.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Conduct seasonal property maintenance, including:
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Tree and shrub pruning
- Mulching and edging
- Junk disposal
- Pressure washing
- Install and maintain landscape lighting systems
- Support carpentry projects, such as building and repairing decks, fences, and privacy walls.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, respectful, and attentive to clients’ needs.
- Work closely with the team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Clean and valid drivers license required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully.
- Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment (training provided).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time seasonal position from April to December.
- Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM.
- Longer days may be required during peak season to meet project deadlines.
- Weekend work may occasionally be needed for special projects or urgent jobs.
