Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within our injection molding facility, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and Just-in-Time (JIT) material flow. This role ensures materials are managed efficiently to support production, maintain accurate inventory, and meet shipping timelines.
Working closely with Production, Quality, and Logistics, the Warehouse Manager leads a team to ensure safe, organized, and efficient operations. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting JIT processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of material handlers and shipping/receiving staff
- Manage Just-in-Time (JIT) warehouse operations to support production flow and customer requirements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Review shipping documentation (bills of lading, orders, invoices) to set priorities and meet schedules
- Coordinate loading activities and ensure compliance with customer and shipping specifications
- Direct the movement of materials from receiving to storage and production areas
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Develop and implement efficient work procedures and standard operating practices
- Schedule staff, assign tasks, and adjust workflow to meet operational demands
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees, including onboarding and probationary reviews
- Manage employee performance, attendance, timecards, and vacation requests
- Address employee relations issues, including discipline when required
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment; coordinate repairs as needed
- Maintain records for equipment and company vehicles
- Promote and enforce all health and safety policies and procedures
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up
- Ensure all required certifications and licenses for team members are current
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience in warehouse or logistics operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Six Sigma /Kaizen Certification and or training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse processes
- Experience in a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment is an asset
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ERP or warehouse systems experience is an asset.
- Ability to interpret reports, procedures, and operational data to support decision-making.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
Pay: $72,446.00-$108,670.00 per year
