Home Care Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalized care to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or any other individual that may need day to day care. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or nursing home environments and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others through attentive caregiving and support. Having a PSW certification is considered an asset, but is not required.
What to expect:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and any other day-to-day hygiene routines.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support patients with dementia or hospice care needs with patience and understanding
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Light outdoor work
- Document care provided accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities
- Experience in meal preparation and light cleaning is advantageous
- Certification or training in nursing or home care is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety protocols
