Career Description
Our organization is looking for an excavator operator who is experienced in completing residential demolition and excavation for custom homes. We have multiple projects ongoing throughout the year and we typically work with 2-3 crew members on-site, including a general labourer to assist the excavator operator. We primarily operate in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and the surrounding areas including Etobicoke and Brampton. Attention to detail, concise communication, and leadership qualities are a must.
We are looking for an experienced worker who is entirely capable of completing the demolition and excavation of homes of all sizes. This role includes separating demolition debris (scrap metal, recycling materials) and putting the debris into disposal bins. Excavation of a custom home includes being able to excavate the basement, step footings, walk-out basements, and additions as per architectural drawings while being familiar with all kinds of soil types.
We offer an excellent salary but excellence in your trade is required. We are looking for an individual who requires minimal training and can coordinate the job site while maintaining the machine and cleanliness of the site.

Requirements:
- Must be able to operate a John Deere 245G excavator
- Must have experience with residential demolition for custom homes
- Must have experience with excavation for custom homes including basement plans, step footings, walkout basements, and additions
- Must be able to read architectural drawings and understand grading plans/site plans
- Must be able to use laser and set grades
- Must be familiar with all types of soil types
- Must haveleadership qualities and experience running a job site
- Must have own vehicle to travel to various sites. However, a vehicle may be provided after a certain amount of time working for the company
