If you are a motivated Carpenter/Skilled Labourer with a minimum 5 years experience and looking to broaden your skills, we are looking for you to join our team. Vortek Construction specializes in residential renovations and abatement, providing diversity in our projects with commitment to quality and excellence.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 8:00am - 6:30pm
Major work areas: construction; renovations; abatement rebuild; and maintenance/repair for residential and commercial
Specific skills (including but not limited to):
- assist in construction and renovations of residential properties with direction;
- gather material needed for construction and renovations
- determine specifications and calculate material requirements; prepare layouts;
- measure; cut; assemble with wood, drywall and plaster materials;
- assist in installation of sheeting materials including sub floors, wall sheeting and various materials including suspended ceilings
- assist in assembly of doors, windows, trim, and mill work including hardware and painting
- build containments; remove, handle and clean hazardous materials
Essential Skills (including but not limited to):
