McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the training team at McArthur River by coordinating training activities, maintaining training records and attendance records, scheduling internal and external training programs, and managing the logistics associated with training delivery. The role serves as a key point of contact between employees, contractors, vendors, and multiple departments at site to ensure training requirements are met and records remain compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
This is a 12-month temporary position.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain training, attendance, enrollment, and certification records within Cameco’s learning management system.
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external training programs and certification requirements.
- Liaise with third-party training providers and vendors to arrange training delivery and logistics.
- Process and manage employee and contractor training requests.
- Communicate and collaborate with site departments, employees, contractors, and stakeholders regarding training requirements and schedules.
- Ensure training documentation and records comply with site and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative and training processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required:
- Post-secondary certificate in administration, office education, business, or a related field;
- Zero to five years of related training/administrative experience;
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; and
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
- Previous experience administering training programs at an industrial or mining environment;
- Experience using SAP; and
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
