Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced baker to join our team within the food service and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in a team environment and strong baker skills. Prior bakery experience is highly valued, along with familiarity with food handling and leadership in food industry settings.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and instructions to produce various baked goods
- Maintain quality control by inspecting finished products
- Innovate and develop new bakery products, catering to customer preferences.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in other areas of bakery production as needed
- Prepare and coordinate food service activities, including cooking and food presentation to meet safety and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Be involved with team meetings, provide coaching, and support staff development initiatives
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage bakery operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and use of bakery equipment
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to pivot and find solutions to minor problems
