Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and work collaboratively with our dental staff to ensure a positive patient experience. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist with patient examinations and prepare treatment rooms for procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans
- Manage patient questions regarding oral health, insurance, and treatment options with professionalism and empathy
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety guidelines, including sterilization procedures
- Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly environment that eases anxiety during visits
Experience
- Valid RDH license in the state of practice with current certification requirements met
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is beneficial
Pay: $56.00-$70.00 per hour
