Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver /Receiver / shop assistant to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Be able to work with others in the shop as well as on site.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients across designated routes
- Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery area
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues
- Assist with moving heavy items, requiring heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and courteously
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation
- Maintain the shop in a clean environment
- Assist in the manufacturing process of woodworking items when not delivering
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred, especially involving moving or forklift operation
- Commercial driving experience is essential, with a valid driver’s license required
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Experience in heavy lifting and handling large or bulky items is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse operations enhances efficiency in loading/unloading processes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.50 per hour
