We are currently hiring MIG Welders for different departments for one of our clients a leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of loading dock systems and material handling equipment.
Our client is located at Derry and Kennedy area of Mississauga.
Day Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM
Afternoon Shift: Monday - Thursday from 3:00 PM – 12:30AM , Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm. (Mandatory training on the day shift 6am-230pm)
Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour
MIG Welder
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weld and assemble parts
- MUST be able to – Transition between benches on Dock Line and keep up with Tack Times, Fabricate a Dock leveler with all correct componenst, determine differences between all Dock capacities and models (Mechanical MA, MU, HA, HU series)
- Read and understand work orders (specifications), Read blueprints to determine each weld for units with little guidance
- Ensure minimum and maximum output quantities are met
- Use gauges, Mig-welding equipment, jigs and fixates, grinders and measuring tools
- Set machines for different types of materials and varying thickness
- Ensure basic regular lubrication and maintenance of machines
- Test and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with work orders when necessary
- Follow all health and safety company rules
- Must have welding certificate
- Comfortable working in a hot environment
- Lift up to 25lb as required
- Identify weld defects and determine the appropriate rework method within established
- procedures.
- Remove defective welds using grinding, gouging, cutting, or other approved methods.
