The Role
We're hiring a Low Voltage Technician to handle on site meetings along with planning and executing projects including rough in-installation, termination, and commissioning of structured cabling and AV and security systems in the field.
Hands on start to finish by supporting low voltage infrastructure across commercial, residential projects
You'll work across a variety of projects often as the on-site lead and you'll be trusted to make sound calls, Working with team members and working Independently as needed.
What You'll Do
- Pull, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, fiber, coax)
- Install and rack-mount AV, networking, security and surveillance equipment, access control
- Mount displays, speakers, cameras, access points, and control hardware
- Read and work from floor plans etc
- Troubleshoot and certify cabling and connectivity issues on site
- Coordinate with project leads, other trades, and clients in a professional manner
- Keep accurate notes with documentation and labeling
What We're Looking For
- 1-4 years of hands-on low voltage / structured cabling experience
- Confident terminating and testing copper
- Familiarity with AV, IP networking, and surveillance/CCTV systems/ access control
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and working independently
- Valid Ontario driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and handle the physical side of the job all year.
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to train team members
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with access control, CCTV and security system installs
- Ontario ECRA/ESA or relevant electrical exposure an asset

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
