· Provide care and support to youth in a residential setting
· Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for youth.
· Create a safe and nurturing environment for youth.
· Implement and facilitate recreational activities and educational programs.
· Monitor and document the progress and behavior of youth.
· Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces
Skills:
· Strong communication skills to effectively interact with youth, their families, and other staff members.
· Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
· Excellent organizational skills, communication skills both oral and written and computer literacy
Qualifications
· Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
· Understanding of working within a framework of diversity, equity and inclusion
· Knowledge of The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Child, Youth and
· Family Service Act guidelines, policies and procedures.
· First Aid and CPR
· Valid G license
· Vulnerable Sector Clearance
