Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Gas Station Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing store functions, and ensuring a positive experience for customers while maintaining operational efficiency. Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
Duties
- Supervise daily gas station operations, including cashiering, merchandising, and store maintenance
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and training & development of staff
- Oversee inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising displays
- Handle cash handling procedures and ensure accurate bookkeeping and recordkeeping
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote sales and enhance store visibility
- Conduct interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team
- Monitor POS systems and ensure proper usage for transactions
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Manage store budgets, sales management activities, and administrative tasks such as phone etiquette and organizational duties
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in retail or gas station environments
- Strong background in retail sales, store management, and team leadership
- Skills in negotiation, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and budgeting
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to train staff, manage time effectively, and handle administrative responsibilities
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and customer service best practices
- Ability to recruit new team members through effective interviewing techniques
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in payroll processing and recordkeeping
