Your Opportunity
As a Co-op Student within our Engineering team, you will gain hands-on experience across both office and field environments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to real projects, support complex marine construction work, and learn from industry leaders while developing practical skills that will set you apart in your career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the Estimating Team in preparing competitive bids and winning work
- Assist in developing conceptual through to detailed project estimates
- Review tender documents and perform quantity take-offs
- Help maintain organized estimate files and supplier pricing data
- Assist with project execution to ensure alignment with plans, designs, and specifications
- Support project reporting, including progress tracking and risk assessments
- Contribute to procurement and logistics coordination (materials, equipment, labour)
- Identify potential site issues and communicate proactively with the Project Manager
- Participate in reviewing construction methods, design inputs, and specification changes
- Help ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Take on additional field responsibilities as assigned
What You Bring

Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Co-op program (minimum completion of 2nd year)
- Must have completed a minimum of two Co-op work terms
- Genuine interest in marine and/or heavy civil construction
- Exposure to construction projects (an asset)
- Familiarity with estimating, planning, or cost control concepts
- Experience using AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Term, Compensation & Eligibility

Term Length: 8–16 months
- Start Date: 2026 (aligned with academic schedule)
- Compensation: $25–$32 per hour, based on prior co-op experience and year of study
- Must be actively enrolled in a Co-op program and returning to studies following the work term
