Full time Mechanic position available with a full-line construction equipment rental company located in Port Coquitlam. Iron Mountain Equipment Rentals is looking to expand our team with energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated team members. We specialize in heavy equipment including ride on Rollers, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Forklifts and Compaction equipment as well as an extensive line of Bobcats and Excavators and a variety of smaller hand tools.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide own tools - Yearly tool allowance
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
- Inspect all equipment to be repaired for defects and malfunctions
- Follow and execute work order instructions
- Possess strong diagnostic skills of hydraulics and electrical components
- Clean, lubricate and maintain all equipment, as scheduled and required
- Be able to shift from shop to job site servive work during the week
- Work independently or in a team environment
- Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all systems associated with Work Equipment (Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic);
- Make inspections and tests, repair or replace parts
- Perform maintenance on equipment according to owner, manufacturer and specifications, including changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts.
- Repair and service various equipment attachments
Experience:
- Small engine Mechanic: 3-5 years (Preferred)
- Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, Telehandler Experience (Preferred)
Required:
- Drivers License (Class 5) (Required)
- Strong working knowledge of all machine mechanical workings, electrical and hydraulics
- Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
