Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and construction-related skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role involves creating custom wood products, restoring existing structures, and assisting with various construction projects. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and a solid understanding of construction techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide woodworking projects
- Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as cabinets, furniture, framing, and custom woodwork
- Assist with restoration projects involving wood components and structural repairs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure materials accurately and cut with precision to meet project specifications
- Perform concrete forming, masonry work, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, rebar installation, and caulking as needed for comprehensive project support
- Install cabinetry and perform finishing tasks including painting and sanding
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimating and project planning
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for project completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction practices is highly desirable
- Experience with restoration projects or cabinetry installation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement and craftsmanship skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Handyman experience or construction estimating skills are advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
