Karahi Boys Calgary is seeking kitchen helper which can move into tandoor chef. This position assists cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The tole requires teamwork, attention to cleanliness and the ability to work in a fast-faced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients.
- Was dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment.
- Keep kitchen areas, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Receive, move and store food and kitchen supplies.
- Take out garbage and recycling and maintain proper sanitation.
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff as required.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces.
- Help with stocking ingredients and supplies.
- Perform other general kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset but not always required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies.
