Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 – Innisfail, AB
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 is seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Bar Manager to lead all aspects of our Bar Operations.
This hands-on leadership position is responsible for staffing, scheduling, inventory management, stock ordering, customer service, cash handling, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar. The Bar Manager will work closely with the entire Team to support Hall rentals, Community functions, Legion-hosted events, Entertainment Nights, and special events throughout the year.
The successful candidate must be available to work a wide variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily bar operations.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support bar staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules.
- Order, receive, and maintain liquor and bar inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and control inventory costs.
- Ensure compliance with AGLC regulations and Branch policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members, guests, and visitors.
- Handle cash management, daily reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate bar services for events, hall rentals, and Legion-hosted functions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Assist with promotions and initiatives to increase sales and member engagement.
- Foster a positive and professional workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Previous bar, restaurant, hospitality, lounge, or related management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with POS systems (i.e Toast POS Sytem) and basic computer applications.
- ProServe certification or willingness to obtain.
