About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to process and track incoming and outgoing inventory while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This role works closely with carriers, customers, and our internal team to support smooth logistics operations for a small but bustling distribution company.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation and delivery of products to meet customer timelines
- Perform physical tasks including preparing boxes for shipment up to 75 lbs
- Pack and process outgoing parcels for safe transport
- Unpack, process and store incoming deliveries
- Coordinate tradeshow materials shipping for sales staff
- Communicate with customers regarding equipment pickup and drop-off
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to the transport of dangerous goods
- Administer international and cross-border shipping processes
- Process credit card payments
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods
- Prepare and issue accurate, timely invoices using Sage Accounting Software
- Work within Act! CRM to keep customer/supplier information updated
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and stockroom area
- Follow company policies, including ISO9001 and ISO17025 QA standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline shipping and logistics processes
- Review courier costs and materials pricing to optimize shipping expenses
- Provide office phone support and connect customers to appropriate team members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
2+ years logistics experience required
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification
Knowledge of CUSMA and international shipping requirements
High school diploma (minimum requirement)
Computer proficiency (experience with Sage, ACT! and Microsoft Suite is an asset)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal English required)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Professional and customer-focused approach
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
