Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Abacus Instructor to join our Best Brain Learning Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with children and a background in teaching or tutoring, particularly in math or related fields. This role involves guiding students through abacus learning techniques to enhance their mental calculation skills, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring young minds to develop confidence and interest in mathematics.
Duties
- Conduct engaging and interactive abacus classes for children of various age groups.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning levels.
- Assist students in understanding fundamental concepts of mental math and abacus techniques.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and active participation.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure students’ educational goals are met.
- Incorporate computer skills and educational tools to enhance the learning experience.
- Adapt teaching methods for students with special education needs or different learning styles.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or tutoring setting.
- Background in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring in math, computer science, or related subjects is highly desirable.
- Classroom experience or familiarity with special education approaches is a plus.
- Knowledge of abacus techniques, mental math strategies, or computer skills relevant to educational settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young learners and foster a supportive learning environment.
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
