Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Ethnic Line Cook specializing in Nigerian dishes to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Nigerian dishes with authentic flavors and techniques
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation standards
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to customers or dining staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences
- Monitor inventory levels for ingredients specific to Nigerian cuisine and communicate needs accordingly
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Nigerian cuisine or other ethnic cuisines is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and standards in the food industry
- Experience with meal preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining cleanliness standards is desirable
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure high-quality and safe dining experiences
