Job Summary:
Small community pharmacy located east of Peterborough seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join our family-oriented team. The ideal candidate will work 2-3 shifts per week including some Saturdays. No Sundays or statutory holidays.
Duties:
- Accurately and efficiently dispense medications following legal requirements and professional standards
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure correct dosage, identify drug interactions, and contraindications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication use, side effects, and precautions
- Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and safety
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient profiles
- Inventory management
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist
- Proficiency with Nexxsys/Pharmaclik required; experience with Propel RX is an asset
Skills:
- Familiarity with medication dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Exceptional attention to detail in medication preparation
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and patients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70.00-$75.00 per hour
