Dump Truck Driver (HRM)

We are currently looking for a dependable, safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our team in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with customers, and is committed to operating equipment safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Operating company vehicles safely and professionally at all times.
- Transporting and delivering materials in accordance with company procedures and all applicable regulations.
- Providing courteous, professional service to customers and the general public.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintaining accurate driver logs and required documentation.
- Ensuring all loads are properly secured and transported safely.
- Keeping assigned equipment clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
- Reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Following all company policies, traffic laws, and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- A valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Condition 15 and float experience would be considered an assett.
- A strong commitment to safety and a proven record of safe driving.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance.
- Knowledge of load securement requirements for transporting heavy equipment and materials.
- Snow plowing experience is considered a strong asset.
