Newmont North America operations are located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.

As an Analyst, Finance, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, cost analysis, and investment decision-making for Newmont’s North America operations. Partnering with site leadership and cross-functional teams, you will provide financial insights that help drive operational performance, cost control, and long-term business success.

Support month-end accounting activities, including accruals, cost allocations, and account reconciliations.

Analyze production and operating cost performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Assist with quarterly forecasts, annual business planning, and multi-year financial plans.

Develop financial models, dashboards, and reports to support business decisions.

Support the Site Investment Council process through analysis and investment modelling.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and treasury cash call requirements.

Collaborate with site leaders to review cost variances and identify improvement opportunities.

Maintain cost control structures across financial systems and ensure data integrity.

Assist with internal controls, compliance activities, and audit requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and finance-related projects.

Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.

CPA and/or CFA designation is considered an asset.

Strong financial analysis, modelling, and problem-solving skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with SAP, SAP BPC, financial planning systems, Xeras, and Power BI.

Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in an industrial, resource, or mining environment.

Knowledge of warehouse and operational processes within a mining environment is an asset.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Hybrid position based in Newmont’s Vancouver office.

Monday to Friday schedule with flexible hybrid work arrangements.

Occasional travel to Red Chris Mine and other operational sites as required.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 85,400.00 -113,900.00 with an additional short-term incentive of 15%. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
