Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash register operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Support team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food service environment
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and increase sales
