Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe, efficient, and quality-conscious loading and transloading of products to railcars
- Assure work is being performed in strict accordance with operating policies and procedures
- Maneuver around and atop railcars to open and close hatches
- Perform work from height and safely utilize fall arrest and harness systems
- Stay compliant with all requisite safety trainings and requirements
- Properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), in accordance with site safety requirements
- Interact with customers, rail crews, and visitors in a professional manner
- Clean and maintain a neat and organized railyard
Candidate Profile:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Ability to successfully meet pre‑employment medical and substance‑testing requirements, in accordance with company policy and applicable safety regulations
- Comfortable and capable of working outdoors throughout the year in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Team player with the ability to work on a rotating shift schedule, with occasional overtime and occasional short notice schedule adjustments
- Ability and willingness to consistently wear required PPE as per the safety standard and regulations requirement
- Exposure to rail operations coordination and/or logistics workflows
- Lead operator or acting supervisory experience in an industrial or terminal environment, a plus
- Experience participating in safety leadership activities, such as SBOs, JSAs, and toolbox talks, a plus
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable working with and around hazardous materials
- Working knowledge of computers, tablets, and related operational applications
- Committed to safety and safety leadership
- Committed to excellence and continuous improvement
- Experience operating heavy equipment, a plus
- Industrial railyard experience, a plus
