Position Title: Physiotherapy Assistant (Permanent, Full-time)
Location: Whitehills Long Term Care Centre
Job Description
The PTA will:
- Assist and implement therapy programs that would allow residents to realize
- their maximum potential.
- The PTA will work in relation to residents’ care issues and care plans that pertain to Occupational/ Physiotherapy Program.
- Working with the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, the PTA will fully support and assist the Therapeutic Services at Admiral.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Occupational and/or Physiotherapy Assistant course with certificate.
- Minimum 3 years previous experience.
- Previous experience in long term care an considered an asset.
- Practice with a resident and family-centered care approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Must be able to assist in resident mobility and transfers.
- Competency using computers including internet, email and Microsoft office.
- Regular attendance in current and previous employment.
