The Crossmount Group of Companies is looking to add an Accounting Clerk to the head office team to assist with our recent expansion. As a valued member of our accounting team you will work within a collaborative team, supporting our diverse operations while contributing to ongoing process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional support.
What you will do:
- Process incoming invoices with a high level of accuracy and ensure supporting documentation is properly recorded.
- Maintain organized financial files and update accounting records to support day-to-day activities.
- Handle accounts payable tasks, including verifying invoices, tracking payment status, and responding to related inquiries.
- Support accounts receivable functions by applying payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up as needed.
- Communicate with vendors to address billing questions, resolve discrepancies, and confirm account details.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for internal review using accurate and up-to-date data.
- Perform account reconciliations to identify variances and help keep ledgers balanced and current.
- Enter financial information into the organization's accounting system and spreadsheets while maintaining data integrity.
What you need to be successful:
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience in an accounting clerk or similar finance support role.
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the English language both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with computerized accounting software and Microsoft Office
