Staff Plus is hiring experienced Production Assemblers for full-time opportunities with our client in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will assemble elevator fixture components by following assembly drawings and related CAD schematics. The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or custom production experience, is comfortable using hand and power tools, and can complete detailed assembly work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule and Pay
Day Shift - $20.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Afternoon Shift - $22.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

What You’ll Do:
- Assemble elevator fixtures and related electrical fixture components according to assembly drawings and CAD schematics.
- Identify the correct buttons, parts and components required for each assembly.
- Complete simple and detailed assemblies within established production timelines.
- Use manual hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Visually inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality.
- Use designated measuring tools to verify finished products.
- Complete production rework and correct assembly issues when required.
- Identify and report damaged parts, defects and other non-conformances.
- Accurately complete shop records and production documentation.
- Communicate production or quality concerns to the team leader.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Participate in 5S activities and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform other production and assembly duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Approximately two years of hands-on assembly experience.
- At least one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a custom production environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, diagrams or CAD schematics.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to complete simple and complex assemblies.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience assembling electrical fixtures or electrical components is strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle production materials and lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to work occasionally in warmer areas of the facility.
