We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance Supervisor at our Guelph location to support our growing team and ongoing commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will support the coordination and oversight of daily Quality Assurance activities on the production floor. This role includes supervising QA staff, reviewing documentation, supporting investigations, and ensuring site-wide compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a hands-on approach to quality oversight, and the ability to support a collaborative, safety-first work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company safety policies and promote a safe, inclusive work environment
- Supervise and support QA team members in daily activities on the production floor
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and monitoring of QA team performance
- Ensure team adherence to GMPs, site procedures, and standard operating protocols
- Maintain up-to-date departmental SOPs and ensure staff are trained accordingly
- Support the supplier quality program by maintaining documentation and compliance records
- Assist in managing quality systems, documentation control, and compliance tools
- Monitor and maintain quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Help ensure audit readiness and support internal/external audit preparation activities
- Provide floor-level support to production teams in resolving compliance-related issues
- Support documentation processes including change control and document review within QMS
- Assist in the review and closure of deviations and non-conformances
- Support review and approval processes for manufacturing documents (SOPs, WIs, Forms)
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
- Coordinate with third-party labs, equipment vendors, and calibration service providers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or a similarly regulated industry
- 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of GMPs, ISO standards, and quality systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems and quality management software (e.g., QISS)
- Comfortable working in both office and production environments
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as required
- Comfortable working with and around inks, solvents, and related materials
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce
