Job Overview
Happy Place Therapy is seeking a Registered Social Worker to cover a maternity leave, with
potential for extension. This role is primarily mobile - sessions take place out of our converted
camper van - with in-office sessions at our Queen St. location as needed.
Happy Place Therapy offers a unique service providing mobile therapy out of a converted
camper van, as well as in-office sessions at our Queen St. location in the heart of The Beaches at the intersection of Woodbine & Queen.

box. The ideal candidate has experience working with a variety of populations, with comfort
working with children, teens, and adults in a clinical setting, including the neurodiverse
population. A willingness to provide mobile therapy sessions is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy sessions focusing on emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on data collection and client progress.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
- Educate parents and families about therapeutic interventions to enhance engagement.
- Develop and utilize creative approaches to care.
- Stay current with research and best practices across the lifespan.
Qualifications
- Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) designation required.
- Experience working with Autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges preferred.
- Experience or training in Behavioural Therapy/ABA is a strong asset.
- Experience working with children in a clinical setting preferred; comfort with diverse populations an asset.
- Valid driver's licence required - role involves driving the van to and from sessions.
- Knowledge of special education practices and medical terminology advantageous.
- Strong notetaking, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Must be willing to maintain a caseload of 12-15+ clients per week.
- Wednesday and Thursday evening availability required; biweekly Saturday availability required.
