Dorset Timber Mart is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Driver to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting our lumberyard and building-materials operations while providing excellent service to our customers.
Position Overview
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely delivering building materials to customer job sites and assisting with the loading and unloading of the truck. This role requires someone who is comfortable with physical work and enjoys being part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery truck
- Deliver lumber and building materials to residential and commercial sites
- Load and unload materials at the yard and at delivery locations
- Secure loads properly and follow all safety procedures
- Complete delivery paperwork and logs
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Provide professional, friendly service to customers
Requirements
- Valid G Driver’s License (required)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely load and unload building materials
- Physically able to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the day
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Knowledge of building materials is an asset, but not required
