Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Financial & Strategic Services department as an Assessor II. Reporting to the Manager, Assessment Services, the Assessor II is responsible for collecting and maintaining assessment data and completing valuations for a portfolio of residential and non-residential properties. The position also supports the defence of assessments, working closely with the Manager and Commercial Assessor to ensure compliance with municipal and provincial legislation.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Appraisal, Assessment, or Business with 5 years of related experience, or a Diploma in Appraisal, Assessment, or Urban Land Economics with 7 years of relevant related experience is required.

AMAA Accreditation is required.

AACI or CEA designation is an asset.

Membership in the Alberta Assessors’ Association is required

Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, CAMAlot, Marshall & Swift, SQL is required.

Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work

Benefit from flexible work hours by adjusting your start and end times by 30 or 60 minutes around our core hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).
Compensation

The salary ranges from $96,878.86 - $119,233.92 per year, including a comprehensive benefits package with a flexible spending account, pension plan, and accrued paid vacation starting at 3 weeks per year.
