Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Café Supervisor/Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, leadership, assisting the owner with managing the team, inventory, systems, prepping back end foods/baked goods. Assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring smooth daily operations within our café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, leadership skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Team Management: Supporting the team to ensure things are running smoothly
- Scheduling: Help prepare and organize the employee schedules if needed
- Training: Ensure all staff members are trained properly
- Monitor inventory levels daily. Help with grocery shopping and ordering if required
- Help prepare all food, baked goods and other preparation in the Kitchen
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages in accordance with established standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Manage cashier responsibilities, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety procedures, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Ensure timely service during busy periods through effective time managementSkills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Good understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and processing orders
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Part time to Full time position dependant on how busy it is. Minimum of 20 hrs per week to start while training. End of Aug/Early Sept minimum of 32 hours available. (Most likely more)
- Must have your Food safe certificate or able to get it.
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work Saturdays if short staffed & needed (June-October May extend Saturdays longer dependant on business)
This is not a seasonal position must be available year round.
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
