About Water Tech Mechanical
Water Tech Mechanical Inc. is a growing Calgary-based mechanical contractor specializing in plumbing, HVAC, gas and hydronic systems.
We work on multifamily, high-rise, mixed-use, commercial and other large construction projects throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
We are looking for experienced Journeyman Plumbers and Apprentice Plumbers who take pride in their workmanship, productivity and being part of a strong construction team.
Job Responsibilities
As part of our construction team, you may be responsible for:
- Installing sanitary, storm and domestic water piping systems
- Installing plumbing fixtures and equipment
- Installing gas piping
- Installing hydronic heating and cooling piping
- Installing mechanical-room piping, pumps, valves and equipment
- Underground plumbing and drainage installation
- Rough-in and finishing of multifamily suites
- Installation of risers and distribution piping
- Reading and working from mechanical drawings and specifications
- Performing pressure tests and preparing systems for inspection
- Coordinating work with Foremen and other trades
- Identifying installation or drawing issues before they affect production
- Maintaining clean, organized and safe work areas
- Following company quality-control and safety procedures
- Completing assigned work according to daily and weekly production targets
What We Are Looking For
We are interested in candidates who:
- Are a Journeyman Plumber or registered Apprentice Plumber in Alberta
- Have commercial, multifamily or high-rise construction experience
- Can read mechanical/plumbing drawings
- Understand proper plumbing installation methods and code requirements
- Can work productively with limited supervision
- Take pride in doing quality work the first time
- Are dependable and arrive ready to work
- Work well as part of a crew
- Follow instructions from Foremen and Superintendents
- Understand that both quality and productivity matter
- Maintain a professional attitude on construction sites
- Take safety seriously
Experience with hydronics, mechanical rooms, gas, HVAC piping, large multifamily projects or high-rise construction is considered an asset.

Pay: $24.73-$50.21 per hour
