Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food service industry. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Server is a vital part of delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests through excellent service and attention to detail.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus in a professional manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork
- Minimum 3 years working in a upscale-casual restaurant
