What You Would Do:
Reporting to the Director, Energy & Agriculture, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and financial performance of the Agro Centre. You will provide agronomic expertise to support producers, build strong relationships, and contribute to the success of the agronomy team through leadership, mentorship, and collaboration. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster strong relationships with members & guests.
- Lead the overall operations of the Agro Centre, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and achievement of sales and financial goals.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and operational strategies to support continued growth and sustainability.
- Drive agronomy sales by promoting crop protection, seed, and agronomic services while maintaining strong customer contact programs.
- Provide expert guidance to customers on seed selection, crop protection, weed, disease, and insect management solutions.
- Manage inventory, assets, and maintenance programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and loss prevention.
- Analyze financial performance, monitor key metrics, and implement strategies to improve sales, margins, and productivity.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop the Agro Centre team while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Oversee workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement activities.
- Coordinate pricing strategies and ensure operational alignment with organizational objectives and market conditions.
- Support and implement local marketing, advertising, merchandising, and promotional initiatives to drive business growth.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental stewardship, including the safe handling of agricultural products and hazardous materials.

About You:

- 5+ years of progressive agriculture experience, including 3+ years leading technical or professional teams.
- Proven ability to manage operational costs, improve efficiency, and drive sales and margin.
- Agriculture degree or equivalent post-secondary degree, from a recognized institution.
- Ag. designation, Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), and valid Pesticide & Seed Treatment, Pesticide Dealer, and Bulk Seed Operator certifications/licenses.
- Experience with AWSA and CFIA bulk seed management.
- Knowledge of KSI Seed Treaters and Volumetric Fertilizer Plants considered an asset.
