The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for serving customers in person and via the telephone. The CSR is accountable for dealing with customer complaints, inquiries and processing transactions. CSR participates in all assigned training, setting and meeting personal goals. CSR understands his/her role as brand ambassador and provides positive brand experiences to all customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist body shop suppliers & collision repair facilities with orders for automotive paint, paint related materials (sandpaper, putties, adhesives, detail supplies, safety items, tools, etc), and body shop equipment.
- Manage multiple incoming calls, take orders, forward to appropriate parties
- Record and process all incoming orders as well as transfer requests from other branches
- Troubleshoot, problem solve daily situations
- Keep salesmen advised of back orders as they occur
- Assist salespeople with pricing, part numbers, quotes, etc
- Assist warehouse staff with any questions they may have
- Work in warehouse as required: fill orders, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, warehouse cleanliness and organization, etc.
- Participate in in-house training as offered as well as continuous self-study of product offering to expand product knowledge
- Process purchase orders for all local purchases
- Complete customer returns in timely manner
- Any other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum 2 years of previous order desk experience required in area such as: parts, equipment, industrial, customer service, inside sales. Automotive specific experience is an asset, but not required
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Solid computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Explorer
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Above average communication skills. Able to deal with customers, salespeople, vendors and warehouse staff
- Sound problem solving abilities, must be able to think on your feet and handle difficult situations
- Deals effectively and professionally with issues that arise
- Good organizational & multi-tasking skills
- Customer service focused
- Able to work well in a team environment and demonstrate respect for co-workers
- Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to provide direction to others when required.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
