Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Home Inspector to evaluate residential properties and provide comprehensive inspection reports. The ideal candidate has strong observational skills, technical knowledge of home systems, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties, including structural components, roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and interiors
- Identify defects, safety hazards, and areas requiring maintenance or repair
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and easy-to-understand inspection reports
- Communicate findings clearly to clients, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry practices
- Maintain inspection equipment
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Home Inspector
- Proven experience in home inspection, construction, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems and components
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with inspection software and reporting tools
- Background in construction, engineering, or trades
- Customer service experience
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay can be based on piecework, varies based on unit being inspected. Salary option is available
