We are a well-established highway marking company specializing in Pavemant Line and traffic markings throughout Alberta. With a strong focus on safety, precision, and reliability, we’re looking for an experienced EZ Liner Paint Truck Operator to join our team for the 2025 construction season.
Job Description
As a EZ Liner Pavement Line Painting Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating Highway Line Paint Trucks and leading a crew on road marking projects across Alberta. This role combines skilled driving, specialized paint equipment operation, and on-site leadership to ensure high-quality results and safe work environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate specialized paint trucks for highway line painting
- Utilize advanced pavement marking technologies—including monitoring systems and onboard cameras—to ensure precision and consistency.
- Operate and maintain a long-line paint truck to apply road markings at low speeds between 5 and 25 km/h.
- Ensure all pavement markings are accurate, durable, and fully compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Lead a small crew on active highway and municipal painting projects
- Set up and manage daily work zones including traffic control coordination
- Read and interpret work orders, road layouts, and project plans
- Perform equipment inspections and minor maintenance
- Ensure safety protocols and Alberta Transportation standards are followed
- Complete daily work logs and project reports accurately
Requirements
- Class 5 (or higher) Driver’s License (Required)
- 5+ years of experience in highway line painting and operating specialized paint trucks and pavement marking equipment.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot the pavement painting truck and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Strong knowledge of the Ministry of Transportation and/or municipal pavement marking specifications.
- Previous foreman/supervisory experience in construction or roadwork preferred
- Comfortable working long shifts, nights, weekends, and outdoors in various weather
- Able to travel and stay on-site for out-of-town projects (accommodations provided)
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
