Overview
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Early Childhood Educator (Infant/Toddler) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the growth and development of infants and toddlers. You will work collaboratively with families and colleagues to promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through responsive caregiving and play-based learning.
Wage is inclusive of the $6 BC ECE Government Wage Enhancement
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs.
- Provide responsive care that supports each child's emotional well-being, health, and safety.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Observe, document, and assess children's development and communicate progress with families.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in accordance with licensing regulations.
- Support children's routines, including feeding, diapering, toileting, napping, and hygiene practices.
- Encourage positive behaviour through guidance and respectful interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and centre activities as required.
Qualifications
- BC Government Early Childhood Educator - Infant Toddler (ECEIT) license
- Infant/Toddler Educator diploma
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Clear RCMP volnerable population check
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
- Ability to lift over 50pounds
- Ability to bend and reach as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive practices and supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong organizational and observation skills.

Pay: $31.31-$32.33 per hour
