Position function: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the individual will be responsible for office administration requirements for dry blending department of Caldic’s Mississauga facility.
Scope: The Production Administrator will be accountable for the day-to-day office work and provide support to the dry blending team. They will collaborate with Dry Blend team members, Quality teams and other areas to ensure the production area meets the expectations of our customers and all internal stakeholders in safe and high-quality manner.
Major tasks and duties:
- Ensure compliance with all Quality and Safety programs. Communicate feedback from the production teams.
- Work with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Communicate production challenges/concerns with the Supervisor and team leads
- Monitor and maintain all non-inventory equipment/supplies required for the production area (PPE, filters/screens/scales/etc.)
- Attend any required training necessary for the job.
- Complete any other duties deemed required by the Operations management.
Knowledge/Skills & Experience:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ production experience in a food manufacturing setting
- Must be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Willing to always work in a dusty and noisy work environment
- Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift certification is nice to have
