Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. The position requires a professional with strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with dental software Cleardent.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in compliance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic health records systems Cleardent
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- iTero experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Support the dental receptionist with front desk duties as needed, including greeting patients and managing check-in/check-out processes
Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with BC regulations
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures and clinical support
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Cleardent
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Experience supporting dental procedures involving orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics and pediatric dentistry is a plus
- *Prior experience working as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not required*

Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour
