Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Mechanic to join our team. This role involves performing comprehensive automotive repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using mechanical expertise and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and service recommendations
- Assist in the assembly of vehicle components when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service performed
- Own your own tools
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Certification or licensing as a Journeyman/woman Mechanic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
