Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. This position involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks in a daycare facility ensuring that it is kept in excellent condition.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and classroom areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed to ensure availability for daily operations.
- Report any significant maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial services
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and facilities maintenance is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
- Excellent time management skills and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
